This is by far the best sushi place in town. If you are hungry I definitely recommend coming to this place. They have friendly staff and the service is pretty good as well. Any time that I am in town I always come to this place. I ordered takeout and had about a 20 minute drive home. When I got home I opened the box and it was still fresh and hot. This is an amazing place! 10/10

Absolutely terrible! Slow service, overpriced and disgusting food. I wouldn't eat most of what was served for fear of food poisoning. The fish smelled off, they forgot the sauce for the teriyaki, along with giving us plates, chopsticks, soy sauce - everything really. Owner was rude, couldn't give us a receipt and overcharged. Stay away!!!

do not eat here. menu prices and what we were charged were completely different. 9.95 for a beer on menu and $14 charged by waitress. they only had one cold sapporo beer. served one that was warm to us. offered a glass of ice as the solution. beer had to be bought from another sister restaurant. each employee had a uniform from a different restaurant. no one had uniform from the restaurant we were at. one couple bought $50 couples meal and received less food than the people who bought bento boxes for $20. they recieved one bento box of food and 2 extra spring rolls compared to bento box, but did not get offered a second bowl of white rice until the kitchen realized 30 minutes later that too much white rice had been made.
food brought out in stages. meant each couple had to eat at separate times. $50 couple meal people always got the last serving often so long after other that we had thought that portion was forgotten entirely. beef teriaki obvious had been sitting to long before serving on non sizzling not hot plate. it was barely warm. did not have any sauce on the beef and the veggies had gone soggy. last thing served was the tempura appetizers and a banana. if i had not heard staff arguing, i would have thought this restaurant had served us by ordering skip the dishes from another restaurant. could have come with the beer from the sister restaurant. side salads and one separate salads looked like they had been put together as an after thought by lazy employee. each had a large chunk of lettuce that still needed to be broken into smaller pieces. sauce came separate on a small dish. was not really salad dressing. more of a plum sauce. this same sauce that was served with salad was also served with the spring rolls. only other items in salad were cucumber and carrots. just a disorganized, overpriced and dissappointing restaurant

At the time of this writing, I'm not even sure if they're still in business.  Obviously they bought into this place as part of an Immigration investment because the family that is running this once good establishment knows nothing about Japanese food and process.  It's terrible.

Yet I can't help to think and feel so bad for them.  They don't know what they're doing.
Serving sushi has to be top notch because you're serving fresh raw seafood.  Food that is meant to be prepared by trained chefs.  Japanese food is taking a beating here. It shouldn't be like this.  I almost wanted to come back and teach them how to run their restaurant and make them successful so they can deservedly earn their 4 star rating.

They even had their kids take the orders and the mother didn't seem happy.  Likely because they could be losing their shirts.

Worst thing about this is the previous owners seemed to just not provide them the proper care and training when handing over a restaurant.

Maybe they'll turn it into a Chinese restaurant and be much more successful.  Either way I do with them luck but if it hasn't improved the city should come in and do something to help them understand that it just can't be operated that way.

I don't know maybe I should offer them my help.  I'll have to come by again and see if they're still there.
